Okay I'm going around and poking at all my dormant blogs I've left littered across the blogosphere. This is a good one that I've never gotten around to giving a proper identity to. The blog's actually got the choicest URL of my lot. And I really could be doing more here.

But alas, that criticism could be applied to so many facets of my life, really...

the danger with blogs -- really personal blogs -- is they can become autobiographies that are published to the world one chapter at a time. every impulsive thing can get put out there with very little effort. no one looking over your shoulder or editing or questioning you before you publish. you can go back and revise posts, but they've been out there already. in this raw, volatile state. and for the people who've read it, you can't really take it back.

this has always made me write entries that are heavily encrypted. to the point where i'm sure many have been incomprehensible. i'd like to try to start this one by being more honest and forthcoming. i don't know how long it'll last, but i'd like to try this.
